A petrol station in Whitstable has been robbed by two men.
Two men walked into the service station on the A299 Thanet Way at Chestfield, just after 11pm on Saturday.
One demanded the two members of staff hand over cash from the till, while the other stole a quantity of cigarettes from behind the counter. A leather handbag was also taken.
Police Constable Sarah Copeland said: "The men then left the shop by the rear exit and were seen climbing over a fence at the back of the service station."
A female member of staff was reportedly assaulted during the robbery, but did not require medical attention.
Both men are described as white, of a slim build, aged between 20 and 25 and with English accents.
The first had cropped black hair and was wearing a grey baseball cap, a white or cream-coloured scarf over his face, a grey jacket, thick white gloves, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers. He was carrying a grey Bench bag.
The second was wearing a blue hooded top with a grey hooded top underneath, navy blue tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and red gloves. He was carrying a white Primark bag.
PC Copeland said: "We are following a number of lines of enquiry and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the incident, or who recognises the descriptions of the offenders.
"We believe they may have had a vehicle, so we would also like anyone who saw a suspicious vehicle nearby either before or after the robbery to get in touch."
