Customers have been turned away from the doors of a major supermarket after a power cut.

A sign appeared in the window of the M&S Foodhall at Estuary View in Whitstable today, telling shoppers the store is closed.

Shoppers have reported seeing no one inside the store, which is normally open from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

M&S has been contacted for comment.
