Two people taken to hospital after motobike and bicycle collision on A2990 Thanet Way, Whitstable

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash between a bicycle and a motorbike.

An air ambulance was flown in after the collision on the A2990 Thanet Way at Whitstable at around 3.30pm yesterday, but both victims were taken for treatment by road.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “Ambulance crews attended along with Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex and assessed and treated two patients on scene.

“Both were taken by road to local hospitals for further medical treatment.”

A pair of ambulances were pictured at the scene.

The road was shut off at the junction for Clover Rise and cars were diverted towards Reeves Way.

Police have been contacted for further details.
