Two people have suffered neck pain after a crash closed the A299 Thanet Way.

Emergency services were called at about 1.20pm to the scene in which a van had overturned.

Traffic built up on the London bound carriageway, which has since reopened.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called to the A299, Yorkletts at 1.20pm following a report of a two car collision.

"The incident happened on the Londonbound carriageway prior to the service station and the road was blocked.

"South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to the scene.

"Two people suffered neck pain and a child was said to have a bump to their head."
