Whitstable Town manager Will Graham confirms deals for one time Millwall trialist Aaron James and Ollie Gray

Whitstable Town’s new boss Will Graham has urged supporters not to panic as he sets about trying to put his own stamp on the team.

Former Town coach Graham took over the reins at The Belmont following the departure of the Ward brothers, Jimmy and Danny, who left for Ramsgate, and the 30-year-old has wasted little time in revitalising his squad.

Midfielder Sam Bewick has arrived from Hythe and Graham has also confirmed deals for promising teenage centre-back Aaron James, who spent time on trial with Millwall late in the season, and Ollie Gray.

The trio are the latest names to join centre-forward Kane Rowland, Joe Kennett and Ashley Ulph in committing their future to the club.

Graham said: “There have been lots of comments in the media both online and in print speculating about who has left the club and who is staying and new players arriving for next season.

“My message to the supporters is simple – don’t panic as I am working hard to put the best side I can out at the Belmont within the budget set by the board and I am happy the way things are going.”

Both Graham and chairman Gary Johnson will meet supporters at the Belmont clubhouse on Tuesday night, from 7.45pm in an open forum.

In a message to Whitstable fans, Mr Johnson said: “It’s your chance to listen to the club’s address and then quiz us as you see fit. It’s an open forum so do come along.”
