Scott Porter says Whitstable Town need to start taking their chances in games.
Whitstable are five games unbeaten in the Bostik South East and have drawn their last three.
Their next match is a local derby against Faversham Town who have started the season well.
Manager Porter said: “We have to take our chances. It is five unbeaten now for us. We just have to start putting teams to bed now if we want to push on.
“Dan Eason has been in great form this season and the pressure has been on in games.
“I can’t fault everyone for the hard work and commitment they have shown.
“They are near enough there. We have played two games with 10 men last week and came out with points.
“Faversham are a strong side. I know Ray Turner very well and we know quite a lot of their team as well. It will be a physical battle and I’m sure it will be a decent game.”
Whitstable drew with Three Bridges 1-1 at home on Saturday with both teams having players sent off.
Porter was happy to get a point from the game as many things were against them.
He said: “It was a strange day on Saturday. We had six players who were unavailable.
“Chris Saunders got sent off and did not deserve it. We then had a penalty given against us, which should not have been given and then they had a player given a red card that should not have.
“After everything that happened on the day I will take a point from it.
“If we would have had a full strength side then we would have won the game. That stretched it to four unbeaten.
“Credit to the boys as I can’t fault them for the way they played with 10 men for so long.”
For a second match in a row Whitstable had a player sent off in a game. Saunders was again the man to receive his marching orders.
Sevenoaks Town managed to get a last minute equaliser to make it 1-1.
Porter said: “On Tuesday we got people back and it was the best first half of football we have played all season.
“Chris Saunders got sent off again when he should not have been. I feel really sorry for the lad because that is twice in four days and he will face a lengthy ban now.
“We then had to play 60 minutes with 10 men but we should have been out of sight at half time.”
