Man dies after being hit by Audi on A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road near M20 in Ashford

A man has died after being hit by a car on a busy road.

The A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road in Ashford was shut for hours following the incident, which took place at about 6.30pm on Tuesday.

Police say a blue Audi was “involved in a collision with a pedestrian” on the northbound carriageway, which takes traffic towards Junction 10 and 10A of the M20.

Emergency services attended and the man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to help them with their enquiries.

In particular, officers believe a driving instructor may have been in the area at the time, and may have relevant dashcam footage.

A SECAmb spokesperson added: “SECAmb were called at approx. 18:28 yesterday (28/01/25) to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Bad Munstereifel Road in Ashford. Sadly, a man in his 40’s was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
