A28 Canterbury Road in Ashford blocked between A2070 and A2042

A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash on a busy A-road.

The A28 Canterbury Road in Kennington, Ashford, was fully closed between A2070 Willesborough Road and A2042 Faversham Road as a result of the incident but has since reopened.

One victim was taken to a nearby hospital, officers told KentOnline.

A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a one-car collision on the A28 Canterbury Road in Ashford, near the junction with the A2070 Willesborough Road, at 12.56pm on Thursday, November 7.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a woman was taken to a local hospital.

“Police remain at the scene and are working to reopen the road.”
