The latest series of a top Netflix show filmed in Kent is released today, starring the likes of Aaron Paul and Salma Hayek.
First airing on Channel 4 in 2011 before Netflix picked it up in 2016, Black Mirror gives audience a glimpse into a dystopian future.
For the latest season, which hits screens today, eagle-eyed viewers will be able to spot familiar landscapes after parts of Swale, Dungeness and Chilham were used in filming.
All five episodes of the sixth installmant of the award-winning anthology series, which also stars Josh Hartnett, Rob Delaney and Michael Cera, are available to watch on Netflix now.
It comes less than a year after Emmy-award winning Aaron Paul was seen spending a few weeks in Whitstable, much to the delight of locals.
The Breaking Bad star spent more than a fortnight exploring the county last July, with his wife Lauren documenting their time in Kent on Instagram.
The A-list actor’s trip to an off-licence in search of his own Mexican-style mezcal was described as “utterly random” by shop owner Ross Bell, who said Paul told him he was in the UK filming.
It’s not the first time crews of the popular show have used Kent in production, with two previous episodes making use of the county.
Episode five of the fourth series, 'MetalHead', directed by David Slade, was partly filmed at a private property in Harrietsham, near Maidstone, in April 2017.
Although viewers were led to believe the characters were in an empty post-apocalyptic world in the Scottish Moors, on occasion they were in the Kentish village.
Fairbourne Reservoir East featured as the empty house Bella, played by Maxine Peake, sought refuge in. In 2018, crews were also spotted shooting scenes for their fifth series in Jeskyns, Henhurst Road, Cobham.
The much-loved show, devised by Charlie Brooker, is just one of the latest big budget productions to be filmed in the county in recent times.
Earlier this year, Netflix crews were seen in Rochester alongside actor Dominic West as they transformed the Medway town to look like mid-noughties Windsor for hit series The Crown.
Dominic, who is also known for starring in The Wire and The Affair, plays King Charles III in the show.
Elsewhere, in Margate, singer-turned-actress Lily Allen was one of the big stars of a Sky show Dreamland, which was set and filmed in the seaside town.
The cast spent last summer enjoying the sunshine in Thanet, with Lily’s husband, Stranger Things actor David Harbour, also seen pottering around the area.
Also in Thanet, Olivia Colman starred in the Sam Mendes-directed blockbuster Empire of Light, which saw Margate taken back in time to the 1980s.
Also featuring Colin Firth and Micheal Ward, the cast spent three months in the town, with the film even receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography.
