Woman taken to hospital after ‘disturbance’ outside The Cuban in Canterbury

A woman was taken to hospital after suffering a seizure following a “disturbance” outside a popular nightclub.

Officers and paramedics were called to The Cuban in Canterbury High Street in the early hours of Sunday morning after reports of an altercation.

Police confirmed the victim sustained injuries following the incident at about 12.45am.

Ambulance crews said she had a seizure, requiring their attention.

She was taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate for further medical treatment. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating a disturbance reported to have taken place outside a premises in Canterbury High Street at around 12.45am on Sunday, during which a woman sustained injuries.

“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.”

A SECAmb spokesperson added: “Crews assessed and treated the patient at the scene before conveying her to the QEQM Hospital in Margate for further medical treatment.”
