A broken-down vehicle have led to miles of tailbacks at the Dartford Crossing this morning.

The left-hand tunnel was closed to deal with the incident whilst the right-hand tunnel remained open to traffic.

It is understood the vehicle has now been cleared, but lengthy queues remain.

The delays will impact traffic travelling from Kent into Essex.

Traffic monitoring sites suggest queues stretch back to Darenth.
