Drivers are facing long delays on the M25 this afternoon.

One lane is closed on the A282 Kent bound due to a police incident on the QEII Bridge.

Essex Police were called to concerns for someone at 1.40pm.

The person has been brought to safety with the assistance of members of the public. They are now in the care of medical professionals.

The bridge is fully re-opening.

National Highways expects the traffic to clear between 3.45pm and 4.00pm this afternoon.
