A fire at an industrial unit is being treated as suspected arson.
Crews spent just less than three hours battling the blaze involving multiple trailer units at the premises in Hockenden Lane, Swanley, last night.
It is not known how the fire started but Kent Fire and Rescue Service says the cause is “being treated as suspicious”.
Crews were called just before 11.20pm and were at the site until around 2.10am.
Five fire engines were sent to the scene including two from London Fire Brigade, as well as a bulk water unit.
One resident said they heard “six explosions” which he said came from a nearby quarry.
Alan, who did not want to give his full name, added: “I first took notice of the fire when I heard two huge explosions around 11pm.
“I looked out of my window and the fire was huge. Then there were more explosions which vibrated the windows.
“I saw the fire engines go the fire and that’s when I went to bed. When I woke up this morning I could still see white smoke from the fire.”
Firefighters extinguished the blaze using hose reel jets.
No injuries have been reported.
