Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has shared pictures of her holidaying on the Kent coast.

The actress – who played Daenerys Targaryen in the hit fantasy series - was seen making the most of her time in Deal, with images showing her on the town’s pebble beach and wandering around its idyllic streets.

Posting the photos to her 28 million Instagram followers, the 37-year-old wrote: “Turns out I do like to be beside the seaside.”

The snaps have attracted more than one million likes on the social media platform, with many Deal residents quick to heap praise on the celebrity visitor.

Christine Rudge said: “She's been in loads of great films, love her to bits.”

Danielle La Bron added: “I saw her when I was with my boyfriend!

“We were walking down the golf course at Sandown and we both looked at her and wanted to ask if it was her but didn't want to be rude. Wish I had spoken to her now!”

Clarke is not the first Game of Thrones cast member to take a liking to Deal, with Nathalie Emanuel – who played Missandei of Naath – raving about the town in 2019.

In more recent times, The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge enjoyed a day out at The Zetland Arms in Kingsdown.
