Body found in search for missing Kevin Blackwell from Dymchurch, Romney Marsh

Police say a body has been found in the search for a 52-year-old man who has been missing for almost a month.

Officers have been searching for Kevin Blackwell, from Dymchurch on Romney Marsh.

An appeal was launched on May 15 after he was last sighted in Orgarwick Avenue in the village on May 9.

Investigators then extended their appeal asking the public for dashcam footage two days later.

Last week, officers released CCTV footage of Mr Blackwell appearing to get on a bus and widening the search after confirming he had links to Dover.

Formal identification has not taken place but a police spokesman said his family have been informed.

The discovery was made yesterday afternoon in the Dover area.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
