A man has been charged with the murder of a pensioner in a quiet residential street.
Officers found the 66-year-old victim dead at a property in Anstee Road, Dover on Monday. He had suffered multiple injuries.
Police have this morning confirmed Ajay Porter, 36, of Oswald Road, Dover, has been charged with murder and possession of a ‘bladed article in a public place’.
Remanded in custody, he is expected to appear before Folkestone Magistrates today.
A 35-year-old man has been released without charge.
Police have yet to confirm the identity of the victim.
Police were first called to a disturbance just after 10pm on Monday.
