Bike crash prompts M2 delays between J7 Brenley Corner, Faversham, and J6 A251 Ashford Road

Delays have cleared on a busy motorway after a crash involving a motorbike.

The M2 Londonbound had been experiencing slow traffic and was down to one lane between J7 Brenley Corner and J6 A251 Ashford Road, with the biker suffering from minor injuries.

Traffic monitoring service Inrix said: “Slow traffic and one lane closed due to accident, a bike involved on M2 Westbound from J7 A2 (Brenley Corner) to J6 A251 Ashford Road.”

A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 11.24am on Wednesday September 11 to a report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike near junction seven on the M2. Officers are at the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service.”

The ambulance service has been contacted for comment.
