A number of caravans spotted in a car park next to a swimming pool have left following action taken by the council.

The vehicles are believed to have been at the council car park in Leslie Smith Drive, opposite Faversham Swimming Pool, since Wednesday afternoon (May 8).

Swale Borough Council issued a notice to the group on Friday for them to leave by Sunday, a deadline which was complied with.

A council spokesperson said: “The council was aware of the situation and took appropriate action.”
