TOWIE star Amy Childs enjoys weekend at The Cave Hotel, near Faversham, before twins arrive

A TV personality who rose to fame as part of the original cast of The Only Way is Essex has been preparing for the arrival of twins with a luxury weekend in Kent.

Amy Childs, who was thrust into the limelight in 2010 as part of the hit ITV show, spent a few days at The Cave Hotel in Boughton, near Faversham, celebrating a 'babymoon'.

Her and partner Billy Delbosq announced in October last year they were expecting twins - with the 32-year-old looking heavily pregnant as she posed at the hotel with her business owner boyfriend.

The mum-of-two shared her excitement with her 790k Instagram followers at spending some time preparing, saying: "BABY MOON! Few nights away before the twins arrive."

"[I've] been a hormonal girlfriend this week, feeling moody and a bit over being pregnant, feeling overwhelmed.

"@billydelbosq8 you have been amazing the past few weeks!

"Not long till we meet our gorgeous twinnies. Mummy and Daddy are waiting for you."

The post has received more than 6,000 likes and well-wishers have come out in force to support the TV star.

One fan commented: "Twin pregnancy is HARD! You look amazing."

"Have an amazing time, rest and relax and take time to enjoy each other before the babies arrive," said another.

Since she left TOWIE in 2011 following the conclusion of the second season, Amy has gone on to appear on Celebrity Big Brother, finishing 4th in 2011, and E4 hit show Celebs Go Dating.

After having two children, a boy and a girl, Amy has since returned to ITV screens, rejoining the Essex-based series in 2020.

The Cave Hotel in Boughton regularly attracts celebrity interest, with stars such as Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson and celebrity couple Jarrod Bowen and Dani Dyer making an appearance.

Just last month, Strictly's James and Ola Jordan enjoyed a date night at the four-star hotel.

It opened in 2019 after a £12 million investment and has grown steadily ever since.

However, when it launched a licensing bid last year, it came under fire from villagers who claimed the hotel’s actions were keeping them up at night.

Many claimed the "loud and throbbing" music from the venue keeps them up at night - even half-a-mile away - with one saying their house "seems to shake”.

But this didn’t stop the bid from being granted.

CEO and co-owner of the business, Johnathan Callister, sympathised with residents’ complaints, emphasising that under the new licence the hotel would limit the noise it puts out.

“One of our key components to the hotel is that we give people a good night’s sleep,” he said.

“If you are providing music until one in the morning you will not do that.”

Mr Callister added that an emergency number had been set up to raise concerns over noise, and residents had been invited to email him directly with complaints.
