Former British Army Gurkha found dead at Lower Leas Coastal Park, Folkestone, named

A veteran whose body was found after emergency services descended on a popular park has been named.

Bhim Limbu was confirmed dead at Lower Leas Coastal Park in Sandgate Road, Folkestone on March 5.

Details surrounding his sudden death were revealed at an inquest at Oakwood House, Maidstone, on Monday morning.

The 73-year-old was a former British Army Gurkha, a specialist brigade composed of soldiers recruited from Nepal.

Born on November 28, 1951, Mr Limbu had been living in Ferne Way, Folkestone, at the time of his death.

His body was discovered by a member of the public who called paramedics, but CPR efforts proved fruitless.

Mr Limbu was declared deceased at 9.09pm.

A full inquest will be held on July 11 at Oakwood House.
