A person was taken to hospital after a crash on the A2.

One lane on the coastbound side was shut near Ebbsfleet at around 5.30pm following the collision.

The closure was between the junctions with the M25 and the A2260.

Queues were building from the M25 exit to join the A2 and from the Bluewater exit slip road.

An ambulance spokesman said: “Crews assessed and treated one person at the scene before taking them to Darent Valley Hospital for further medical treatment.”

Police have been contacted for further information.
