A man was punched and suffered head injuries following an argument with a dog walker in a town centre.
Police say there was a verbal altercation between two men, one of whom was walking two dogs in Malthouse Hill, Hythe, before the alleged assault.
The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment following the row, which happened at about 7.20pm on Friday, March 28.
A 27-year-old man from Hythe, who is understood to have been walking the dogs, was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail pending further inquiries.
Officers have not disclosed further details of why the argument started.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or has private CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area.
