Treacherous conditions on the roads will last until mid morning and there will be extreme cold until the end of the week.
The Met Office has issued multiple yellow weather warnings for ice this week as temperatures plummet to a low of -3 degrees.
The latest warning from the weather board will be in effect from 6pm tonight and will last until 12 noon tomorrow (Jan 18).
There is also a level 3 cold weather warning in place until Friday morning, the second most serious category of cold weather warning.
The Met Office said on its website: "There is a 90% probability of severe cold weather and icy conditions between 0900 on Monday 16 Jan and 0900 on Friday 20 Jan in parts of England.
"This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services.
"Look out for friends and family who may be vulnerable to the cold, and ensure they have access to warm food and drinks and are managing to heat their homes adequately.
"Try to maintain indoor temperatures to at least 18°C, particularly if you are not mobile, have a long-term illness or are 65 or over."
Flood alerts are also in place in areas, with Maidstone and Ashford residents in particular being asked to stay vigilant to any possible flooding.
The update from comes as Kent's roads took a battering this morning.
In Swanscombe, the A226 London Road is blocked in both directions due to a jackknifed lorry between High Street and Craylands Lane.
Further down the county in Langton Green, the A264 Langton Road near The Green is experiencing traffic following an earlier accident that has left a vehicle in an unsafe position.
The A28 Ashford Road in Tenterden was shut due to a jackknifed lorry but was cleared just before 9am.
Just the other side of Tunbridge Wells, the A21 in Lamberhurst is partially blocked in both directions because of an accident involving a motorbike between Cuckoo Lane and A262 Forstal Farm roundabout.
