Young yobs have vandalised a town centre bakery’s Christmas decorations – and then uploaded a clip on to Instagram clearly identifying themselves causing the damage.

It has left the owner of the store saying she was “absolutely gutted” by the mindless act.

But she’s likely to have the last laugh as she’s now flagged the video up to police.

The video was shared by Cheran’s Bakery after three boys filmed themselves pulling off ornamental balls from the Maidstone High Street store before kicking them across the road and down the street. KentOnline is not showing the full video which clearly identifies those involved.

Cheran Friedman, who runs the bakery along with others in Rochester, Sittingbourne, Canterbury and Faversham said the incident happened on Thursday night.

She only became aware what had happened when one of her social media followers sent her the video.

She said she was “absolutely gutted” after spending £6,000 decorating her Kent shops for Christmas.

She added: “It’s stupid the kids have thought about posting the video on social media as it’s like they are bragging about it.

“What the hell has happened to this world?”

The dessert parlour boss shared the video of the boys and called for people to come forward to identify the vandals.

She says that one of the boys has been identified and that she is in the process of reporting it to the police.
