Three people have been taken to hospital after a car collided with a wall.
Emergency services were at the scene of the incident which took place around 2pm yesterday in New Road, East Malling.
Officers, paramedics and fire crews were all in attendance and a cordon was put in place from Larkspur Road up to the bend heading towards the junction with Bradbourne Park Road, near London Road.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called to reports a car had collided with a wall.
“Officers attended the scene along with paramedics and fire crews and three men were treated for injuries.
“The driver and two passengers were taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.”
The firefighters were called just after 2.10pm to assist the ambulance service.
One witness, Gemma Everest, said she was driving to deliver ice cream when the driver in what she describes as a Vauxhall Corsa or Astra crashed.
The Everest Ice’s Taste The Nicest boss told KentOnline: “I was three cars behind when the crash happened.
“Officers closed the road off which caused gridlock because the road is really busy, especially during the school run.
“I was stuck myself for at least an hour.
“I hope the man is all OK. I am glad this didn’t happen an hour later as lots of school children walk down this road so there could have been very serious consequences.”
