A main road and high street is to shut for two weeks for repair works.

Luton High Street and Luton Road, Chatham will be closed from Upper Luton Road to Castle Road next week.

Medway Council say the works are due to begin on Monday, July 24 and will take around two weeks to complete.

The work aims to bring a number of improvements to the area.

These include the installation of speed humps, bus stop improvements, footway resurfacing and road marking and traffic sign improvements.

Bus stops will be temporarily closed and services will be diverted for the duration of the works.
