Police have made further arrests in a murder investigation.

Two more men were taken into custody after Josh Ingram was found injured in a property in Chatham High Street.

He was taken to a London hospital via air ambulance where his death was later confirmed.

Police were called to the property at around 4.55pm on Monday, April 1.

It is alleged the victim may have been assaulted earlier in the day between 11am and 2pm on an access road that runs between Luton Road and Newnham Street, near the junction with Magpie Hall Road.

Detectives are also investigating reports that he suffered injuries during a previous assault in the High Street.

This happened between the junctions with Upbury Way and Institute Road, at around 10.45pm on Saturday, March 30.

The two men, aged 32 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 respectively.

Both have since been released on bail pending further investigation.

Investigators previously arrested a 43-year-old man on Thursday, April 4 in connection with the case. He has also been bailed. Another man, who was detained on Monday, April 1, has been released without charge.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed either of the incidents to call the appeal line.

Drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV in the area are also asked to check for relevant footage.
