At least two police cars and officers have been pictured at the scene alongside a damaged blue van.

It’s believed the vehicle flipped over and traffic was stationary from around 1pm.

The carriageway was cleared around 2.30pm.

Paramedics were at the scene and a woman in her 60s was taken to hospital following the crash as a precaution.

Bus services have been delayed in Rainham as traffic was being diverted while the road was made safe.

Arriva confirmed it is seeing “significant delays” on its 116 and 132 services due to the crash and Lower Rainham Road closure.

It added: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these delays.”

Paramedics were also in attendance.
