Crews called to garage fire in Brockman Crescent, Dymchurch, on Romney Marsh

Firefighters tackled a blaze in a garage following an electrical fault.

Crews were called to Brockman Crescent in Dymchurch, on Romney Marsh, at 8.39pm yesterday and spent more than three hours fighting the flames.

At its peak, four fire engines were at the scene as crews sporting breathing apparatus looked to contain the situation using hose reel jets.

The fire had begun to spread to the roof of the adjoining home but crews were able to leave the road at 11.47pm.

No injuries were reported.

It’s believed the fire started accidentally due to an electrical fault.
