A dog trainer has been left “shell-shocked” after a 12-week-year-old puppy she was offering for sale was stolen from her home.

The German Shepherd breed was taken from a home in Warden Road, Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey.

Two men and a woman reportedly entered the property in Warden Road with a view to buying the puppy before leaving with the animal in a silver Ford Focus without making payment.

The owner, Shelia Brown, told KentOnline she had not yet named the puppy as she was intending to sell the dog.

Shelia, who is a dog trainer at Sheppey Dog Club, says she is worried for the dog’s safety and is appealing for help to trace him.

“I am scared about what they might do to him as they could cut out his micro-chip,” she said.

“It’s not about the money for me. It does helps me pay for my dogs but I was going to sell him for £500 when he is really worth £2000.

“It all happened so fast I had turned my back to get my phone as they were going to bank transfer me for the dog and when I turned around they were in their car with the dog.

She added: “I am shell-shocked, gutted, upset and worried.”

Police confirmed they were called at 1.05 pm to an address on Warden Road.

Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01795 419119 quoting reference 13-0730.
