Emergency services were called after a horse entered the sea at a popular beach.
A girl had fallen off her horse while riding exposed sand banks on Minster Leas beach, Sheppey.
It had bolted and got stuck in the mud.
The owner of the horse and mother of the girl called fire crews and Sheerness Coastguard at around 5.50pm, yesterday afternoon (May, 22).
The Coastguard were prepared to launch a mud rescue but the owner was able to get the horse unstuck and led it back to safety.
Crews left the scene around 6.42pm.
