A bid has been lodged to buy a former Wilko in a town centre.

A potential buyer has made an undisclosed offer for the building in Sittingbourne High Street.

Harrisons Charted Surveyors is overseeing the sale of the unit, which has more than 42,000 sq ft of floorspace over four floors, including a basement.

It has been empty since Wilko shut in October last year.

The store was the last of the retailer’s branches to close in the county after it went into administration in August.

Harrisons said it was unable to give KentOnline further details as talks are ongoing.
