The back window of a bus has been damaged after it was shot at.
Images show a hole in the glass of a Chalkwell bus which was heading to the Isle of Sheppey from Sittingbourne.
The incident happened as it travelled on Sonora Way, on the Sonora fields estate, at around 6pm yesterday (Monday, June 17).
According to one witness, who was on the bus at the time, a woman had been sitting on the back seat.
A replacement bus came to pick up the passengers around 15 minutes after the incident.
Chalkwell has now warned services could be withdrawn from the route after a similar incident happened last week.
Director Roland Eglinton said the damage has cost the company around £1,000 as well as the inconvenience for customers.
He added: “This is the second time our buses have been shot at in Sonora Fields, with another incident happening last week.
“If this continues we will have no choice but to withdraw the buses from Sonora Fields part of the 334 route.
“We carry a lot of children and vulnerable people so we cannot risk their safety.”
Mr Eglinton has encouraged anyone who has any information about the incident to come forward and report it to the police.
