A child was hit by a rock in a park after a group of teens were seen firing catapults.

Police are investigating the incident which took place in The Meadow play area in Teynham, near Sittingbourne.

Officers were called to the scene just after 6.50pm yesterday (Thursday, April 3).

They completed a search of the area before visiting the victim and their parent.

CCTV footage, which is monitored by Swale council, has been submitted to the police. The force says it is reviewing the footage.
