A man could lose his eye after being glassed in the side of the face during a punch-up outside a pub, a court heard.
Three men, who are all related, have been charged by police in relation to the incident, at The New Inn in Murston, near Sittingbourne.
On Friday, November 29 one regular, who is said to have been causing issues for other customers, was asked to leave.
It is understood the man was then helped out of the boozer by other pub-goers before a fight broke out.
It was during the brawl that Danny Bignall was reportedly kicked and punched to the ground.
As a peacemaker broke up the fight another man is said to have smashed a glass into Bignall’s face, causing him serious injuries which could see him lose his eye.
The police were alerted to the incident by paramedics during their checks on the victim at a nearby address.
Officers arrested three family members on Sunday, November 30.
George Coulter, 39, of Queens Parade, East Street, Faversham, was charged with affray and grievous bodily harm with intent. He withheld his plea when he appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Monday (December 2).
He appeared alongside his brother Thomas Coulter, 40, of Portland Avenue, Sittingbourne, who pleaded not guilty to affray.
His son, also Thomas Coulter, who is 19 and of Fern Walk, Sittingbourne, withheld his plea in relation to a charge of affray.
All three were granted bail until their next hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on January 3.
The New Inn pub declined to comment on the incident.
