In a post on X, National Highways said a lane was closed due to a collision on the sliproad into the Moto Services.

It said: “Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance service are attending along with our Traffic Officers.”

National Highways warned of a 30-minute delay and three miles of congestion due to the incident.

The road had fully reopened by 10.30am.

It comes after drivers faced mile-long queues due to a separate accident involving multiple vehicles on the London-bound carriageway after junction 5 earlier.

At one point, congestion was stretching back to Stockbury Roundabout, but delays had cleared before 9am.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in either crash.

Police and ambulance services have been contacted for comment.
