A collection of workshops and surrounding land has sold for more than £600,000.
Three buildings and two yards next to Watling Tyres in St Michael's Road, Sittingbourne went under the hammer of Clive Emson auctioneers.
The site, which was owned by the same family since the 1980s, sits off the back of Sittingbourne High Street and across from St Michael's Garage.
It offers “potential for a variety of uses”, the auctioneers say.
“This was a fine opportunity and the site has not been on the market for years,” auctioneer John Stockey said.
“The inside space area is 2,863 square feet (266 square metres) and the workshops and outside areas are sizeable.
“Clearly there was a lot of interest with the final price well above the guide price of £380-395,000.”
The lot sold for £653,000 on Wednesday, May 1.
It sits just over metres away from the former St John Ambulance training centre that was used by volunteers for more than 62 years.
Plans to turn this property into flats failed for the second time in January.
This site was sold for £160,000 to developers Ikon Construction Services Ltd in August 2022.
