A TV series set and filmed in Margate starring Grammy-nominated Lily Allen is set for its debut next month, featuring appearances from Benidorm and James Bond stars.
It was revealed last summer Allen was set to play a key role in Dreamland, a comedy-drama filmed and set in the seaside town.
Now, Sky has confirmed the series is set to appear on screens from Thursday, April 6, two months after it dropped the trailer for the show.
The series is described as "a big-hearted drama about secrets, lies, loves and aspirations within a family of four sisters".
"Set in the sun-drenched British seaside town of Margate, it is a dark comedic exploration of multi-generational female relationships, and their somewhat dysfunctional family dynamics," a Sky spokesman added.
The series is set to be Allen's first leading role in a big-budget production.
The 37-year-old will be accompanied by seasoned pros whose credits include Benidorm, James Bond and Doctor Who.
Freema Agyeman, who rose to fame as Martha Jones in BBC sci-fi show, will share the screen with the Smile singer, along with beloved Benidorm actress Sheila Reid.
They will be joined by former James Bond actress Samantha Bond, who played Miss Moneypenny in the Pierce Brosnan era, and Aimee-Ffion Edwards who counts Skins and Peaky Blinders as previous credits.
Allen, who rose to fame in 2006 with much-loved debut album Alright, Still, plays Mel, whose ambitions to create a life beyond Margate have seemingly failed and whose return "could destabilise the entire family".
The series, which was filmed last summer, attracted attention when Lily's husband, Stranger Things star David Harbour, popped up in the town.
The Violent Night actor enjoyed the town's sunny weather and even found the time to beat the 'Pirates of Polaris' escape room at Margate Escape Rooms in 59 minutes and 56 seconds.
The trailer, which was released in February, shows Allen's character groggily asking where she is after waking up on a bus, before a woman replies: "You're in Margate, babes."
It later shows a topless man wearing an inflatable doughnut hopping off the coach as a passer-by shouts: "Get out the way."
It features shots of Margate's Main Sands, the Turner Contemporary gallery and Walpole Bay tidal pool.
The series is expected to feature on NOW TV as well as Sky Comedy.
