A woman has died after collapsing in a supermarket car park.
She was taken unwell yesterday at Margate’s Morrisons in College Walk, where ambulance crews were alerted shortly after midday.
When medics arrived multiple members of public had gathered near the woman, aged in her eighties, with one person having carried out CPR for about 20 minutes.
The patient was transported to hospital in a serious condition, where they later died.
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service told KentOnline: “We are always extremely grateful for any help provided by members of the public and we would like to thank this person for doing everything they could to try to save a life.”
