Schoolboy rushed to hospital after crash in Maidstone Road, Matfield near Paddock Wood

A child is in hospital after being hit by a car.

The crash happened at around 4.45pm yesterday (January 4) on Maidstone Road, Matfield near Paddock Wood.

Officers were called following the collision involving a dark blue Mercedes and a boy, who is in secondary school.

Paramedics took the boy to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Witnesses to the collision or people who have dashcam footage have been urged to come forward to assist officers in their investigation.
