Two drivers taken to hospital as serious crash closes A262 Goudhurst Road in Cranbrook

A man and a woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries as a key road was closed following a serious crash.

Officers were called to a two-car crash on the A262 Goudhurst Road in Cranbrook at around 2.30pm, and shut the road just before 4pm.

Ambulance services also attended and the drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital.

The road remained sealed off in both directions until around 8.30pm to allow investigation works to be carried out, vehicles to be recovered and the scene to be cleaned up.

Motorists were warned to expect delays and drivers were unable to access the route between Whitewell Lane and A229 Angley Road.
