Come fly a kite this weekend!

The Kent Kite Flyers are inviting anyone who has a hankering for the high life to try some kite flying for free.

The Weekend of Kite Flying will be held at the Sports and Social Club near Ashford on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26.

The club’s friendly members want to spread the word about the pleasure of flying to as many people as possible.

You can bring your own kite or buy one from the group, who have experience in flying and making them.

There will be separate areas for children to fly and, weather permitting, members hope to get some large inflatable specimens into the sky.

The Weekend of Kite Flying will be at Sellindge Sports and Social Club, Swan Lane, Sellindge, TN25 6HB, between 11am and 5pm both days. The event is free.
