Staff at one of Kent's biggest care firms will be able to enjoy a turkey dinner this Christmas after being handed more than 400 of the festive birds.
Specialist care agency Superior Healthcare, who are based in Whitstable, teamed up with The Butcher of Brogdale to gobble up the turkeys and distribute them to the team.
CEO of the care group, Stewart Thorp, said the gift was to thank staff for their hard work under such challenging circumstances.
Mr Thorp said: "The past few years have been really challenging, with good news thin on the ground.
"To add to the bad news, we heard there would be a shortage of turkeys this year - the centrepiece of so many of our Christmas dinners.
"We wanted to do something to spark some Christmas cheer and our employee wellbeing team was able to buy 400 free-range turkeys from The Butcher of Brogdale to hand over to staff."
The 5kg birds were given out at the company's headquarters by bosses at the group.
Vegetarian and vegan options were also catered for, with more than 500 members of staff being rewarded for their tireless efforts over the last year.
Mr Thorp started the care firm in 2006 along with his father Charles and nurse Sarah Richards.
The trio created the agency after Mr Thorp's brother Alex suffered life-changing injuries when he was knocked off his bike in 2001.
They found that there was a real need for specialist care homes in Kent for people with long-term health conditions.
Over the past 16 years, Superior Healthcare has grown to cover a wide area of Kent with over 500 carers employed county-wide.
